General Questions

What is Bitfunded?
Bitfunded is a crypto native prop trading firm. You pass an evaluation challenge, we fund you with a simulated account, and you keep a share of the profits you make on it. Up to 150,000 USDT in simulated capital, 100+ crypto pairs and 20 TradFi pairs, on a=our own trading platform.

How do I get started?
Create an account, pick the challenge type and account size that match how you trade, pay the entry fee and start trading. There's no waiting period and no minimum number of trading days, you can hit your target as fast as your strategy allows.

Is this real money trading?
No. Everything happens in a simulated environment on live market data from partner exchanges. You never deposit trading capital and you can't lose more than the entry fee you paid. The profit share we pay out is real USDT.

Where do I find the full rules?
Everything is in our user guide at bitfunded.gitbook.io/support, including the full text of every trading rule.

What types of account does Bitfunded offer?
Four types. 2-Step Challenge: Two evaluation stages, the most drawdown room, and the only one where you get your entry fee back. 1-Step Challenge: One stage, a faster route to funding. 1-Step Express: One stage, the lowest entry cost and the tightest risk. Instant Funding: No evaluation at all, you start funded.

What are the rules for each one?
2-Step: Profit target 8% then 5% · max daily loss 5% · max loss 10% then 8% · 80% profit split
1-Step: Profit target 10% · max daily loss 4% · max loss 6% · 80% profit split
1-Step Express: Profit target 9% · max daily loss 3% · max loss 3% · 80% profit split
Instant Funding: No profit target · max daily loss 4% · max loss 6% · 60% profit split
None of them has a time limit or a minimum number of trading days. Take as long as you need.

What account sizes can I get?
Seven tiers, from 5,000 up to 150,000 USDT: Base, Starter, Skilled, Intermediate, Advanced, Expert and Apex. You'll find the size and entry fee for each challenge type on the challenge page.

What is Instant Funding?
A funded account with no evaluation and no profit target. you just trade and request payouts. The trade off is that the split is 60% instead of 80%, and a few rules are tighter.

Can I run more than one challenge at a time?
Yes, and there's no limit on how many you buy. In the Trader Stage you can hold several funded accounts at once, but only one per account size. If you pass two challenges of the same size, the second waits under “To Be Active” and moves up automatically within 24 hours if the active one gets disqualified.

I passed Stage 1 — what now?
Nothing more to do on that account. We create your Stage 2 account for you and it shows up in your dashboard.

How is the Daily Loss Limit calculated?
It's a fixed percentage of your starting balance and it resets every day. On a 100,000 USDT account with a 5% daily loss limit, the most you can lose in a single day is 5,000 USDT, and that holds even if the account is up overall. The limit is measured against the day, not against your total.

How is the Maximum Loss Limit calculated?
It's a fixed percentage of your starting balance and it doesn't move for the life of the challenge. On a 100,000 USDT account with a 10% maximum loss, you only fail if equity touches 90,000 USDT. Stay above that line and the rule isn't breached.

Do floating losses count toward my Daily Loss Limit?
Yes, and this is the one that catches people out. We count your realised loss for the day plus the floating loss on everything you have open. If your equity breaches the limit at any moment, the account is disqualified automatically. The trade doesn't have to be closed for it to count.

When does the trading day reset?
00:00 UTC+8. Your daily loss limit resets then, and anything you open afterwards counts toward the new day. You can see it happen on your chart when it rolls over.

What happens if I breach a limit?
Breaching the Maximum Loss Limit disqualifies the account straight away. Breaching the Daily Loss Limit closes your open positions and disqualifies the account. To keep trading, you can always start a new challenge.

Is there a minimum number of trading days, or an inactivity rule?
No to both. Pass as fast as you like, and there's no penalty for leaving an account sitting idle. Don't confuse this with the minimum trading activity we ask for before a payout, that's a different thing, and it's covered under Restricted Trading Practices.

What are Restricted Trading Practices?
A short set of risk rules that apply to all four account types. We check any trading activity against them before a payout. The full text and the complete adjustment tables, is in our user guide: bitfunded.gitbook.io/support/introduction/restricted-trading-practices

What's not allowed?
- Hedging: Not allowed. That covers opposite positions on the same asset and coordinated trading across accounts. - Bots, Expert Advisors, scripts, API automation: Not allowed. Every trade has to be placed manually by the account holder.
- Copy or mirrored trading between accounts: Not allowed.
- More than one User Profile per person: Not allowed, and a breach here affects every linked account, not just the extra one. Each user should have just one registered email.
- VPNs: Allowed, but discouraged. They can make your activity look connected to another user, which triggers an account integrity review.

What limits do I have to respect?
- Position holding: 10 days on major crypto, 7 on minor crypto, 5 on traditional pairs, counted in exact hours.
- Margin concentration: Up to 65% combined exposure, 55% on Instant Funding.
- Open positions: 5 at a time.
- Minimum activity per payout period: 2 closed trades, 3 on Instant Funding, each open at least 10 minutes.
The current asset lists and the full adjustment table are in the user guide.

What can I trade?
A wide range of crypto pairs plus a selection of traditional pairs, all simulated. We keep the list on the platform and update it as market conditions and our offering change.

What leverage do I get?
1x to 5x. We keep the ceiling low on purpose, it keeps position sizing inside the risk limits your account runs on, and it stops one over-leveraged trade from ending a challenge that was going fine.

What are the trading fees?
0.04% of position size to open and 0.04% to close, in line with most crypto exchanges. Every fee is itemised in the Transaction History section of your trading portal.

Can I trade and hold over the weekend?
Yes. We run 24/7 and there's no weekend restriction. Your positions still have to respect the maximum holding duration for their asset category.

How do I track how I'm doing?
Your dashboard covers balance, equity, realised and unrealised profit, and your progress against target, with a “Last Update” timestamp so you know how fresh it is. Trader Hub goes deeper: win rate, profit/loss ratio, average position value, daily and cumulative PnL, and your full position history. For live numbers mid-trade, look at available margin and unrealised PnL in the platform itself.

Why do my chart drawings and indicators disappear?
We don't save chart drawings and indicators between sessions yet, so you'll need to set them up again after a refresh or a new login. It's on the roadmap.

Is there a mobile app?
Yes, App Store and Google Play, search for “Bitfunded”. The web version does the same job if you prefer it.

What's the profit split?
You keep 80% of what you make on a 2-Step, 1-Step or 1-Step Express funded account. On Instant Funding it's 60%.

What is the Trader Stage?
The funded stage, where you land after passing your evaluation, or straight away on an Instant Funding account. Your dashboard shows the trading cycle running up to each Profit Sharing Day. The cycles are unlimited and accounts don't expire: after each payout the cycle resets and you carry on.

What is the Profit Sharing Day?
The day you can request a payout. You set it yourself from your dashboard, anywhere between 2 and 60 days, and you can move it up to three times per 30 day period.

How do I withdraw?
On your Profit Sharing Day, hit “Withdraw All Profits” on your dashboard, go to the Payouts tab, click Withdraw in the Funds section and enter your network and wallet address. Our finance team reviews and processes requests within 24 hours on working days.

How often can I request a payout?
On 2-Step, 1-Step and 1-Step Express: up to 2 payouts per 30 days on the same challenge, and up to 5 per 30 days across different challenges. Once you've taken 10 payouts in total, it becomes one a month from there on. Instant Funding runs on its own schedule, one payout a month from the start, with the first available whenever you want it and 5% profit required from the second onward.

When do I get my entry fee back?
On a 2-Step Challenge, your entry fee comes back with your third successful payout in the Trader Stage, added straight onto that payout. It only applies if you reach the Trader Stage and complete three payout cycles without a rule violation. The 1-Step, Express and Instant Funding accounts get you to funding by a shorter route, so their entry fee isn't refundable.

What happens to my payout if my account is disqualified?
A disqualified challenge forfeits all withdrawal rights, including any entry fee refund you hadn't collected yet.

How can I pay?
Crypto or credit/debit card. For crypto we take USDT on ERC-20 (Ethereum), BEP-20 (BNB Chain) and TRC-20 (Tron), check that the network selected in your wallet or exchange matches the one on the payment page, because sending on the wrong one loses the funds. Credit and debit cards go through our payment partners.

How do I apply for an affiliate, partnership or influencer account?
Through our Work With Us portal at bitfunded.com/work-with-us. Our partnerships team reads every application and gets in touch where there's a fit.
